SmartStep® is a uniquely engineered foam underlay designed for the European market to be compliant with Euroclass EN 13501 to a Bfl-s1 fire classification. This specialist underlay is also designed to be compatible as a double-stick or stretch fit installation – a key requirement across Commercial & European markets. With its Bfl-s1 classification, SmartStep® delivers exceptional performance in demanding commercial environments.

Memory foam vs standard recycled foam
Why is memory foam better than standard foam? Well the graph speaks for itself, but simply – under compression testing, standard foam recovers 78% as opposed to our underlays which are up to 92%.
This graph also indicates our foams hold their thickness better in the long run which in return results in a longer life performance of your carpet, enhanced comfort properties underfoot and less furniture indentation marks.
