Or perhaps it’s the idea that we need to produce an underlay that will be easier for installers to fit using their own personal preferences as in the case of JumpStep, we pride ourselves with coming up with fresh ideas that really make a difference in our flooring world!
Testing
We pride ourselves in producing underlays which conform to ISO International Standards and British Standards. Further to this, we ensure that our underlays meet the requirements for ISO 16000 for Air Quality – we want to be sure that the underlays we produce are a breath of fresh air in your home. This notion extends to our commitment to create underlays that tread lightly on the planet.
Development
We don’t stop developing – even when an underlay has ticked all the right boxes, we still keep innovating and improving so that you are always getting the underlay at it’s very best. Whether it’s us pushing for additional heat insulating TOG, or chasing for that extra dB of sound proofing, we won’t stop developing until we are satisfied we’ve made the most of the underlay’s potential!

Winning awards for innovation takes time – we invest time, development and testing in all of our underlays to ensure the end product meets and exceeds expectations. We are proud to be two-time winners of the Flooring Innovation Award for ThermalStream® and Plushwalk®, a prestigious award in the industry assessed and awarded by an independent judging panel.

ThermalStream® hits the market as an innovative new underlay specifically for underfloor heating applications.
ThermalStream® is nominated and wins ‘Flooring Innovation Award 2022’ and is promptly awarded GOLD status by an independent panel of judges looking for the most innovative products on the flooring market.
Further improvements to the backing were made in 2023 to allow easier cutting and installation. ThermalStream complies with all the relevant ISO International Standards and British Standards such as the BS14499:2015. Further to this, continuous testing and development enables improvements in the TOG and dB ratings, to ensure the product that hits your floor is the best it can be.
